Two Month End Events

Hey everyone!
Wow, there are two great things happening at the end of May.

Pip is having a Superhero Party on May 30th to celebrate his one year blogoversary, so get your masks and capes our of storage and get ready to party hardy!!

Then I am having my Peeps on Parade Event that weekend too.
Here's how the event will work.
1.  Design a post about your peeps.  You know, your people!  Those great humans we live with.
2.  Tell at least one of the following things about them:  What your peeps do/did for a living;  Your peeps' special hobby/talent;  Your favorite thing to do with your peeps;  Something serious and special about your peeps;  Something funny and special about your peeps.
3.  Attach at least one picture of you with your peeps.
4.  Post your creation on Memorial Day Weekend from Friday, May 27th through Monday, May 30th.
5.  Comment on my blog so I will know your post is up.

That's it!  It's that easy.
After Peeps On Parade is over, I'll put the names of everyone who participates into a hat  and draw one lucky Blogville Citizen's name for a super special prize!    The winner gets his/her choice.  Either a collar or leash from Clara's Collars, or a tasty treat pack of equal value.  Check out the link to see the totally pawesome designs that Clara has to offer the big winner!
Sound like fun?!?  I sure hope so.  I'm just super excited to learn about everyone's peep pack.  Please feel free to grab this picture of my logo (if that will work!) and spread the word if you agree it will be fun.  I can't wait to see how this goes!
Get ready for some serious fun...Blogville style!

Weird Nest

Hey Everyone!
Wow, I'm so lucky to live out in the woods.  I get the coolest nature experiences here in my territory.  Here's a case in point.  Last weekend when we had a momentary bit of sunshine, Mom & Dad decided to work on the bank in front of our house.    (I promise, there really is a weird nest in this story.)

Here is the bank before the face-lift...

So......in the process of moving the rocks, Mom found dozens of squiggly wormies and a bunch of cool salamanders and even a bunch of buggies.  Then suddenly, she moved a rock and went SQUEEEE!  Here's what she saw:
This little cavern was about the size of the palm of a peep's hand.  It was all excavated out and was being protected by a centipede!  Look at the little eggs in there!  By the time Dad grabbed the camera, the centipede slipped back into the dirt, but just look at that nest of little eggs!  Very cool.  They very carefully replaced the rock so the nest would stay safe.   Super neat!

Anyway, I'm a nature pup so these sorts of things really light me up.  I hope you found it interesting too!
BTW:  Here's the bank after the facelift:
Now if we could just get more sun...there will be hostas and day lilies all along the wall!  (Thanks Mamaw for the pressies!)
