Okay, I'm celebrating MUTT DAY today because I'm a MUTT! That's right...100%...Grade A...All American MUTT...straight from the local shelter.
Today is MUTT Day and I really must say,
that's a great excuse to celebrate in every possible way.
I had no way to gauge if adopting was the rage,
Such a wee pup in a shelter waiting in that small cage.
In came these people and I started to wiggle,
Maybe it's a good sign that I made them both giggle.
That was the first time I ever did climb,
The arms of that peep were like a welcoming chime.
I scooted like heck up his arms to his neck,
I wanted them to keep me- I was a nervous wreck.
It was meant to be and they adopted me,
And it's been nine years now as a perfect family.
So no matter what I am one proud MUTT,
Peeps should follow their gut and take a mutt to their hut.
