This month's phrase is: That was the first time I ever...
Okay, I'm celebrating MUTT DAY today because I'm a MUTT! That's right...100%...Grade A...All American MUTT...straight from the local shelter.
Today is MUTT Day and I really must say,
that's a great excuse to celebrate in every possible way.
I had no way to gauge if adopting was the rage,
Such a wee pup in a shelter waiting in that small cage.
In came these people and I started to wiggle,
Maybe it's a good sign that I made them both giggle.
That was the first time I ever did climb,
The arms of that peep were like a welcoming chime.
I scooted like heck up his arms to his neck,
I wanted them to keep me- I was a nervous wreck.
It was meant to be and they adopted me,
And it's been nine years now as a perfect family.
So no matter what I am one proud MUTT,
Peeps should follow their gut and take a mutt to their hut.

BRAVO!!! Momma had lots of mutts growing up. The only reason she went breed-specific was so she could go with a rescue and make sure the pup was cat-friendly before she adopted.

I am a mutt too!!! I didn't meet Mum till a year ago so cant talk about my early days here, cos I don't remember. But, after I got used to mum and the kittys I stoped trying to get out every time the door opened!!!
Say hi to F&E and tell them mum and I miss them and hope they come back soon!!!

As for my blog look. OMCs/ OMDs it was a happy happy accident. Mom was sweating bullets on Thursday. She tried to do something to get things set up for the Blogville conf thingie...she did it wrong (no surprise) she totally lost my hummingbird header...kaput, gone. She has never personally changed my blog herself. She figured she'd jump in both feet change the background and put up a new header. Now that she knows how to change backgrounds she has gone crazypants!!!
