Wow, I dug into my previous-post-stash for this week's Flashback Friday! Do you remember back over the Winter of 2010-2011 when our furiend Flat George toured the world? George The Lad was such a sweet furiend and I miss him. Well, back then he sent his alter ego Flat George to visit and see the globe and I was lucky enough to host him during a special event. Here is the post:

Super Special Saturday with a Special Guest
Wow, I'm skipping my usual Snicker Saturday to catch up on some important doggie business. Last Sunday was the big Super Bowl football game and I was soooo excited to have company visiting! This time it wasn't my cool cousin, Mayor Frankie...no....it was...wait for it....here it is.....
FLAT GEORGE!!!!
Yes, right here in Western Pennsylvania...Steeler's Territory for the big game. By now, you probably all know the game didn't quite go the way we Steeler's fans wanted, but we still had a blast. FG was the greatest company. Normally I'm not a very friendly pup (territorial to the max), but FG travelled so far across the pond to get here, I had to be good. We had a great time. FG is one pawsome dude. He's a ton of fun.

Just wait till next year! We played hard. I am so excited that FG was here while we were in the Super Bowl!
After the big game, I wanted to take FG to my small town's big landmark. We don't have an ocean, but for some reason, we have a lighthouse. It's on an island in the Allegheny River right here downtown. It's pretty cool and I know FG's mom has a real love for lighthouses, so the next day, we went to see it. At night it has a beacon and everything! Here are the pix...

Wow, what a view. I had sooo much fun with my new pup pal FG. Unfortunately, he had to continue his tour, so off he went. Hopefully he had fun here in my territory, the Allegheny National Forest in Western Pennsylvania. So long, Flat George and travel safely! Drop me a line from somewhere fun!

OH how I miss George the Lad and FLAT GEORGE... and George's Saturday Steps... I very VERY well remember this post..
And do you remember when Flat Geo. was on MY hill? I took him SLEDDING in the Snow... and discovered that What MOM said was a Genuine Flexible Flier Sled .... turned out to be a COOKIE SHEET on the Dish drainer... and said that my life was a sham.
Yep, I remember this tour. It was lots of fun. Oh, the good old days ...

I have to admit that I startet my blog too late to see the best events. But it was great to read about this fabulous tour!

Yes indeedy I remember Flat George I took him on several excursions too. I'll have to do some searching. I also enjoyed his Step Saturdays. OMDs there were a lot of steps where he lives.

We remember well both Flat and 3D George. What a great character. We think he he retired to Facebook.

Oh my pugness Sarge this is crazy, I remember this, I was new to Blogville in 2011 and was confused at first about our good old pal flat George, I quickly understood after a few posts from you and some others, what fun it was, brings back warm and fuzzy memories of my first Blogville experience and me being just a little pupper! Flat George is STILL at our house. We found him hiding between two Harry Potter Volumes!!!!
