FFHT for November

Hey Everyone!
Wow, it's FFHT time and I'm wagging to be able to join The Doods with a new writing adventure!

Putting on the thinking cap.
Putting pen to paper.
Here we go...

I knew that things would never be the same,
after my chompers, I did carefully aim,
but then was forced to take the blame.

Many pieces of stuffy, off they came,
and though I felt the victim of a frame,
I must admit it was a very rough game,
and now my stuffy is most definitely lame.

I really didn't mean to destroy or maim,
after repairs, Frankenstein is its new name.
Though the guilt should cause me shame,
my stuffy chomping was actually rather tame.

That stuffy would never be the same!

The End

Okay, I gotta bark that I'm especially proud that all of my rhyming words came in alphabetical order!   Do I get extra credit for that?!?   BWAR HAR HAR     ahem.
Thanks, Doods for hosting this super fun series.
Grr and Woof,
Sarge, Police Commish

BTW:  I'm still in doggy jail while my peeps are vacationing with FnE.   Sorry I won't be around much for a few more days.

Thanks Blogville....From The Crabby Girls

Hello, Blogville Darlings.   We are clacking our claws with glee today beclaws we get to say THANKS BLOGVILLE for enriching our lives and sharing our crabby adventures.   We are so very pleased to have so many glorious friends and we adore each and every one of you.

Goodness, our world would be so dull and ordinary without the spectacular moments we share.   We are particularly thankful for meeting our darling, dashing COCCOLINO here in Blogville.   He certainly pampers us like queens and we have enjoyed all of our time together:

We girls, Beachnut, Oceana and Shelldon have all been honored to participate in many events in Blogville including this one:

where we hosted a twister tournament for our beloved Benny.    Remember this?   We are so proud of the sense of love and support in Blogville.

And we certainly have spectacular fun too!   POL

Our Hono RooRoo Luau from 2012.    We had such fun with all of you and rode the waves.

You, our darling friends, have been so supportive of our many adventures, like our S&B Speedway.

The  B.O.S. Gardens...

And even our B.O.S. Dinosaur Park.   Teeheehee you have visited them all with us and we are beyond grateful!

And of course,    where would we be without you, our loyal fans...

Without you, we'd have no audience for our Surf Jammers steel drum band.   POL    Goodness, we'd be playing to an empty house.

So, we want to shout our THANKS BLOGVILLE to all of you for enriching our lives and giving us the chance to shine and stretch our long and lovely leggies into all sorts of grand adventures.   You are the most amazing and stellar friends.     Life in our crabitat would be so very lonely and sorrowful without you.

We also send a special Thanks to sweet Frankie and Ernie's Hand for encouring The Hands to allow us to be such daring and creative crabby girls!    We adore you bunches!

P.S.    Don't forget to visit next Crabby Monday, December 1st for our (SHHHHHH) party!   POL

Thanks Blogville....From Sarge

Hey Everyone!
Wow, this is such a special day because we get to tell the whole world why we send out our THANKS BLOGVILLE posts.     I am always thankful for Blogville for bunches of reasons.   The biggest is because I get to share my life with all of your lives, my bestest furiends.    See, I really am a very ANTIsocial pooch.   I don't work and play well with others in real life, so this is my way of interacting with the world and I'm so very lucky to have all of you for furiends.

We've had tons of wondeful adventures together, but one popped out in my mind and I'll bark about it to show just one example of why I say Thanks Blogville Furiends.

The story started like this:

5-15-13 post by my Mom.
SARGE BIT ME!!!!
Okay?  Whew, it feels better to get that out there for all to see.   Yes, he really did.   Now, I won't testify that it was a horrible, near-death experience.   I swear under oath that there was no broken skin, no blood, no amputation, no nasty bruising.   But, I also testify before all that he REALLY DID BITE ME!    The scene involved the camera and my attempts to take a series of photos for use on Sarge's blog.   Yes, I was working for HIM.  Apparently, he got tired of the process and as I reached for his collar HE BIT MY POINTER FINGER.   For those of you with only paws or claws or fins or talons and not fingers, YES THEY HURT WHEN BITTEN!    No permanent damage done, but it did hurt.
Under cross examination, I freely admit that at the time I unleashed (lol) a shocking string of HBO words that would make a sailor blush.   Yes, I did.   But, I maintain that I was provoked, and chomped on at the time and therefore under duress.  And that's the facts, jacks.

So, no blog and no Chief of Police job.   Ptthththttthhht.   There, take that, Sarge!

OMD it was horrible!    I lost my bloggie and everything.   Mom turned my blog over to the Crabby Girls while I was sent to the doghouse:

5-16-13 post by the Crabby Girls,
As you probably know, The Hands said that Sarge bit a hand and so they have taken his blog and his Chief of Police title!    SHOCKING!   We crabby girls have been working our leggies  like mad to keep the blog up to snuff, but we certainly did not ask for this or have anything to do with the situation.  Please, darling friends, do not believe that we are behind this at all.  We are behind Sarge!
We crabby girls are so very very grateful for all of the love and devotion of our, and Sarge's, friends.  We have quietly kept Sarge informed and we can report that he is enormously humbled and thankful for all of you.  He is desperate to get this difficulty settled!
We will be so very anxious for an outcome to this day's event.  Ooooh there is such commotion!
Little Pinches,
Shelldon, Beachnut, Oceana

Well, never fear, my bestest furiends in Blogville had my back!   Before I knew it Ranger and Casey went to work on my behalf.

Lots of you joined in to help me out.   Gee, there was a trial and everything!    Mayoress Madi presided and Sasha served foodables and Blogville worked its magic for me:

5-16-14 post by my Mom:
Hello to all of Blogville.  Well, the response was overwhelming.  The Sarge session of Mayoress Madi's Court yesterday was most definitely a landslide.   Okay, okay, okay!   Nevermind that HE BIT ME!   Even a peep cannot ignore the mountain stacked in Sarge's favor.   Sooooo.....
Yikes, I GIVE!    UNCLE!     I SURRENDER!
The Hands
( P.S.   On a serious note, thanks so much for all of the response!  Sarge is one lucky lucky pooch to have all of you, his Blogville furiends.    Me, not so much!  LOL )

And just like that I got my bloggie back!
So, there's just one big, bright, shining example of why I bark THANKS BLOGVILLE and thanks to all of you for bringing such fun, support and joy to my humble little poochie life.    I hope all of you find something to be thankful for today too.

A NOTE FROM SARGE'S MOM:
I WANT TO TAKE THIS MOMENT TO THANK MY MOM   (FnE'S MOM, SARGE'S MAMAW)   FOR STARTING THIS BLOG FOR SARGE YEARS AGO.    IT IS A JOY TO ME TOO AND I LOVE EVERY MOMENT WE ALL SHARE HERE IN BLOGVILLE.
SO, THANKS, MOM FOR INTRODUCING ME TO BLOGVILLE!

Okay, back to Sarge.     And the Crabby Girls will be sending their Thanks Blogville message out later today.       BTW:   We are off spending a long holiday with FnE and Sarge is in doggy jail.  So, we won't be around to comment, but we wish all of you a very Happy Thanks Blogville.

Grr and a Lucky Woof,
Sarge, Blogville Citizen

Flashback Friday... Flat George Tour 2011

Hey Everyone!
Wow, I dug into my previous-post-stash for this week's Flashback Friday!    Do you remember back over the Winter of 2010-2011 when our furiend Flat George toured the world?   George The Lad was such a sweet furiend and I miss him.   Well, back then he sent his alter ego Flat George to visit and see the globe and I was lucky enough to host him during a special event.    Here is the post:

Super Special Saturday with a Special Guest

Hey Everyone!
Wow, I'm skipping my usual Snicker Saturday to catch up on some important doggie business.  Last Sunday was the big Super Bowl football game and I was soooo excited to have company visiting!  This time it wasn't my cool cousin, Mayor Frankie...no....it was...wait for it....here it is.....
FLAT GEORGE!!!!

Yes, right here in Western Pennsylvania...Steeler's Territory for the big game.   By now, you probably all know the game didn't quite go the way we Steeler's fans wanted, but we still had a blast.  FG was the greatest company.  Normally I'm not a very friendly pup (territorial to the max), but FG travelled so far across the pond to get here, I had to be good.  We had a great time.   FG is one pawsome dude.  He's a ton of fun.
Stay tuned after the game for the rest of his tour of my home town.

Here are the pix...

We warmed up with this first!   PUPPY BOWL!

Pre-game...Go Steelers!

We scored!!!

Two big fans!!

Well,  oops,  we lost.  Oh well.
Just wait till next year!  We played hard.   I am so excited that FG was here while we were in the Super Bowl!

After the big game, I wanted to take FG to my small town's big landmark.  We don't have an ocean, but for some reason, we have a lighthouse.  It's on an island in the Allegheny River right here downtown.  It's pretty cool and I know FG's mom has a real love for lighthouses, so the next day, we went to see it.  At night it has a beacon and everything!   Here are the pix...

Checking out the gate...

Big dog...

Wow, what a view.  I had sooo much fun with my new pup pal FG.  Unfortunately, he had to continue his tour, so off he went.  Hopefully he had fun here in my territory, the Allegheny National Forest in Western Pennsylvania.  So long, Flat George and travel safely!  Drop me a line from somewhere fun!

Sarge, COP

OMD What a fun look back at my time with Flat George.    Do any of you remember that tour?

Crabby Monday...Scenes around the Crabitat

Hello, Blogville Darlings.
We crabby girls thought we would share a few random photos of us enjoying life in our spectacular crabitat.

Shelldon here in my newest, fashionable shell.   OMC I am fabulously agog to see that The Hands have given us a delicious salmon steak for dinner!    Goodness it was so tasty!

Beachnut here climbing about on our cocohut.   Teeheehee I hear Shelldon moving around inside there!    POL

And here is a look at our lovely Shelldon doing some serious climbing.  Did you know we are expert climbers?!?     Well, we are...those long and lovely leggies are perfect!

Oh, this is a wonderful tree!    We do enjoy a nice branch courtesy of The Hands just for us to exercise and explore.

What fun!    I'm hanging around today.    POL

Don't worry, we do this all the time....and LOOK....NO NET!!!     Teeheehee

We hope that all of you, our darling friends, have a marvelous Monday.

Snicker Saturday...Silly Doga

Hey Everyone!
Wow, my peeps told me that I'm an embarrassment!    Can you believe it?!?     They even took a video and said it was beyond silly.   Now, I don't really think that's right.

Here, you be the judge...   Do I look silly to you?

Flashback Friday...Give Us The Bird

Hey Everyone!
Wow, I can't believe it's almost Thanksgiving here in the USA!   I was thinking of a fun Flashback Friday for today and remembered an event I hosted back in November of 2011.
It was called  GIVE US THE BIRD!   Do you remember it?!?

From Nov 21 through Nov 25th of 2011 I asked all of my furiends to post something about a bird since we all think of turkey for Thanksgiving.     Here were the details:

The rules are amazingly simple.  Just post a bird pix on your own blog during the event week.
Any bird pix will do.
v  Real, live birds from your territory, house, yard, park, trails, neighborhood, feeder, garden.
v  Foodables, turkey drumsticks, chicken nuggets, hot wings, chicken kibbles, duck tenders.
v  Paintings or sculptures of birds, any bird crafts, any artsy birds.
v  Bird toys from your stash, stuffie ducks, unstuffy birds, squeaky bird shaped toys.
v  Pix of birds from the internet, cartoons, television, movies, books.
You can post just one pix on one day, or multiple pix on multiple days during the event.  Your choice.  Then leave me a comment so I know you pawticipated.  On Sunday, Nov 27th I’ll take each name from the comments and a winner will be drawn at random.  The winner has their choice of prizes.  Either a collar from Clara’s Collars or a $20 pack of foodables selected especially for the winner.

Oh, it was a lot of fun!     I posted every day and these are a few of the pix I used:

Wild Pennsylvania turkey in my yard!

Male grossbeak at the feeder on my deck!

Mom's favorite picture...colored pencil sketch of a hummingbird!

Wild Pennsylvania turkey after Dad went KABLAMMMO and put him in the pot!  BOL

A ginormous woodpecker on my tree!

A local bobwhite sitting on Mom's hand!

A Ruffed Grouse walking down my road!    They are the State bird of PA.

When the event was over, there was a total of 35 furiends who had pawticipated by posting something about birds.    Here are all of the names:

All of the names went into a bowl and Dad drew the winner....it was the Slimmer Pugs!
The whole event was a ton of fun and I hope you enjoyed this look back to the Fall of 2011.   You can click back to my posts from 11-21 through 11-27-11 to see all of the action.
