Now, for those of you who celebrate it, my whole pack wishes you a very Happy Thanksgiving!   We hope that you eat tons of foodables (gobble till you wobble!), visit with lots of loved ones and have many wonderful things to be thankful for today and always.    I am so very thankful to have all of you to share love, fun and adventures with in Blogville.  Enjoy, my furiends, and I'll see you next week.

NOT Crabby Monday... BCC WINNERS!

Hey Everyone!
Wow, the Crabby Girls were so sweet to let me take over their usual Crabby Monday today so that I can make a special announcement!

Some of you might know that I host the Blogville Community Calendar.   Click the name to link over if you're interested.   I try to keep up on all of the happenings around our world and on the BCC I give a link and short description of what all is going on.   I sometimes wonder how much it gets used, but it's easy to keep up with, so I continue to host it.

WELL, you probably didn't notice that back on 11-17-13, the Blogville Community Calendar hit its 500th post!     To celebrate, I decided to do a giveaway.   I only barked about it on the BCC on the 16th and on the big day, the 17th so that dedicated followers would know about it.
Here is what I added to the calendar:

Sarge is hosting a Blogville Community Calendar giveaway today to celebrate the BCC's 500th post.   Leave a comment for this post by midnight tonight to be entered to win a prize.  Open to all species anywhere in the world.  Comment here today to enter!

Well, when I checked the comments on the morning of the 18th, there were only two comments on the 500th post.   One was from Frankie, and I love him bunches, but I can't include family.  BOL -sorry buddy!   The only other post congratulating the BCC on its milestone was MY FURIENDS THE SLIMMER PUGS AND PURRS!   WOOHOOOO I'm so very glad they won!

Congratulations to my good furiends for their win, and last week I shipped a prize pressie box off to them as a thanks for following the BCC.   Hopefully it will arrive soon and I'm crossing paws that the pugs, kitties and Mama all like their goodies.

Not For Santa... Rangers FALSE Confession Day

Hey Everyone!
Wow, yesterday was so much fun!   Did you run around and check out everyone's entries for Ranger's False Confession Day?    I sure did and it was a blast.

So here is my entry:
Yesterday I made two confessions.  One false and one true.   What was your guess for the false one?

1.   I once jumped onto a chair and from the dining table, I ate half of a pineapple upside down cake...except for the pineapple and cherries which gave me away.

2.  I once jumped onto a recliner and from a coffee table, I ate an entire Hershey's special dark candy bar including the wrapper...except for a tiny piece of foil which gave me away.

Did you make your guess for the false one?

Well, here's the TRUE CONFESSION:

Yes, furiends, I once got all sneaky and ate an entire Hershey's special dark candy bar.   I stole it from my Mom, and then spent an hour very quietly watching her hunt aaalllll over the house for where she put it!   BOL    She thought she had misplaced it.    Everything was fine-and-dandy UNTIL she found a teeny tiny small corner of foil wrapper and I was busted.   See, I even ate the wrapper to hide the evidence...except for that small piece.   Oh, did she ever look like this:::

This is what a very unhappy Mom looks like!

So, there you go my furiends.   My false confession was #1 about the pineapple upside down cake.
Did you guess right???

Thanks so much, Ranger, for hosting this fun event.

Not For Santa... Rangers False Confession Day

Hey Everyone!

Wow, today's such a fun day in Blogville!   I'm really excited about my furiend, Ranger's idea for False Confession Day.   OMD what a fun idea for an event and I'm thrilled to pawticipate with him.

So, today I'm posting two confessions.
One is true and one is false.   Tune in tomorrow to find out which is which!

1.  I once jumped onto a chair and from the dining room table, I ate half of a pineapple upside down cake...except for the pineapple and cherries which gave me away.

2.  I once jumped into a recliner and from a coffee table, I ate an entire Hershey's dark chocolate candy bar including the wrapper...except for one tiny piece of foil that gave me away.

So, what's your best guess as to which is true and which is false?!?

Crabby Monday... Ghost Story Winnings

Hello, Darlings.   Oceana here to show all of you, my fabulous friends, what came in the mail recently.

During our glorious HowlOWeen extravaganza, I submitted a ghost story to the devine Mayoress Madi for her event and I'm pleased to say I was a winner.   You can go to her 10-30-13 post to read my story, if you'd like.

Well, I received the most glamorous piece of bling from darling Goose!

It is a lovely charm with the See Beautiful slogan.   Oh, it's gorgeous!

It adds the most glamorous touch to our home!

I had The Hands hang it on our Crabitat for all to see.  Thank you, dear Goose for the lovely charm.

There was another gift too!   OMC, take a look at what came from Mayoress Madi:

Her talented assistant, Cecilia sent a homemade scarf to The Hand!   It is a clawsome prize.

 So wonderfully tasteful!

The Hand put it on right away.   It is the perfect design and color scheme for trendy Fall fashions.  Thanks so much, Diva Madi for the lovely scarf and I can tell you that The Hand loves it to pieces!  She wore it to work and it is so very chic.

So, there you go, darlings, the wonderful pressies from the Ghost Story event!   Thanks again, darlings Goose and Madi for hosting the event and sending such great gifts.

Ciao and Little Pinches,
Oceana

PS:  For anyone who might have missed it, or would like to read it again, here is my tale reprinted in its entirety.

THE SEAGULL        .....By Oceana

Once inside a crabitat dreary, while I wandered scared and leary
Over many a glamorous empty shell and sandy floor;
All at once there came a banging as if something loudly clanging,
Clanking at my cocohut door
‘Tis the wind and nothing more.’
Open now I threw the shutter and in the bird came with a flutter
As I then began to shudder, wondered at a sight not seen before;
To what would cause this stark intrusion and upon me cause confusion
Worry what this gull’d emplore, why he's here inside my door;
Quoth the Seagull ‘Nevermore’.
Then to me he told his tale, upon the surf he saw arose a tail
And a fin that could only mean a whale;
Teeth to kill with blood and gore, the creature flashed a vile smile
Quoth the Seagull ‘Nevermore’.
It thrashed and caused the sea to foam, and frightened animals all did moan
And scurry and swim and fly ashore, lest they perish and live no more;
By this the gull did scare by telling, all the while my fear is welling
The whale in my mind I see, and from its horror I would flee;
Should it here in my crabitat would be
Quoth the Seagull ‘Nevermore’.
Furthered by the bird’s strange telling, soon it occurred to me a clearing
Of the gull and his real meaning, as all is not quite what it’s seeming;
This odd gull’s whale is not all flesh, but rather is a see-through mesh
Made of fog and mist and spirit, nothing more of this is to it;
A ghost whale is the real subject of this sly lore,
Only this and nothing more.
Thankfully he left no dropping as he flew from my hut topping
Still I feel the fear he caused, and before the surf I always paused;
Looking for the ghost whale form and the fearsome smile that it wore
Quoth the Seagull ‘Nevermore’.

My peeps met HER

Hey everyone!
Wow, my peeps are still talking about the great time they had earlier this week!   Why, you might ask...well, it's because they got to meet HER in the furs.  You know that's Daisy, Bella and Roxy's Mom from Scotsmad.   If you've been watching Frankie's blog, you've seen some of the action already.   See, SHE is here visiting from Australia and my peeps met up with Frankie, Ernie, Mamaw and Papaw Pantslegs to visit with HER while she's here.   OMD they must have had a blast together.

Here are some of the pix!

 Left-to-Right is Papaw Pantslegs, SHE is holding Ernie, Mamaw is holding Frankie.

They exchanged some pressies!   Ernst sent some goodies to his girlfuriend Roxy.

 SHE sent me a pack of these really cool snacks!
I can't wait to try them...the peeps say they are for Christmas.  Boooooo.
SHE also gave my peeps a pack of delish looking cookies!
SHE is so very nice and my peeps say SHE was really fun to visit with.

Here are Mamaw's legs, HER legs, Frankie and Ernie, and Papaw Pantslegs'...well, pantslegs!  BOL

I wish I had been there for all of the fun, but alas, I was busy working as the resident Yard Guard!  We are overrun with turkeys and deer and raccoons and I gotta try to bash them all.   So, I missed the fun, but I got some treats and I got to snuffle my peeps all over because they smelled like F-n-E and Mamaw and Papaw Pantslegs and HER.   Oh, they had a fabulous visit!

Crabby Monday...VETS and a MEETING

Hello, Darlings.   We crabby girls would like to wish our Mr The Hand a most spectacular Veteran's Day today.   You see, this is a day when we Americans honor and thank our veterans for their service to our country.   So, don't forget to give extra love to our vets today.   The Hand is a veteran of the U.S. Navy and served aboard the magnificent USS Little Rock.

Now, for the MEETING!    Our crabitat is surrounded by the most wonderful excitement today, friends.   Tomorrow The Hands are meeting up with Frankie and Ernie and their Hands to have a visit with HER from Scotsmad!

 Isn't that fabulous news?!?   It seems that SHE is visiting the USA and will be near us for a hook-up.  Everyone will have a wonderful time and it will be so nice for everyone to see one another in person.  We can't wait to hear all about it!

Crabby Monday...Sandy Vacation

Hello Darlings.   We crabby girls had a marvelous experience during the recent HowlOWeen extravaganza.   Our stunning beau, Coccolino, was a perfect gentleman and showed us a grand evening.   To celebrate, and to refresh ourselves after a busy holiday, we decided to take a vacation to a lovely and sandy destination.    We thought you might enjoy seeing what we were up to.

Beachnut here to describe our lovely vacation spot.
It was perfectly sandy and warm with plenty of sun and tropic appeal.
The dunes were beautiful and the palms were swaying in a gentle breeze.

I, Shelldon, was especially pleased with the glorious oasis.
It was a gorgeous focal point for our vacation.   The water was the most amazing, deep blue.

Our accommodations were perfectly suited to the scenery and I, Oceana,
was delighted with the furnishings.

We got to stretch our long and lovely leggies by enjoying an adventurous
tour via this beautiful camel.   Isn't she lovely?  She ensured we had a wonderful ride.

Oh, the artistry of the persian rugs and tapestries were a sight to behold!
The furnishings were of the highest quality and design.

As our visit came to an end, we took a refreshing swim in the crystal blue oasis.
Ahhhh, the water was so very warm and it felt wonderful on our leggies.

We were so very pleased with our vacation and left the desert feeling fresh and fabulously healthy.  But, it's always great to return home again to our familiar and comfy crabitat.   We hope all of you, our darling Blogville friends, had a great weekend too!
