Louis and Endangered Species Awareness

Hey Everyone!
Wow, our good furiend Louis is the new Blogville Director of Arts and Entertainment and he's off to an amazing start!   Be sure to stop by and see him today.   He has arranged for a special salute to our endangered furiends and you don't want to miss it.

My crabby girls, Beachnut & Shelldon wanted to join in too!   Here is their entry into the event:

As you can see, they've welcomed a baby loggerhead turtle into their crabitat!   We all join them in featuring such a special and very endangered shelled friend.  Please cross paws and claws and flippers that the world comes together to protect and save them.

And, for me:
I'm shining a spotlight on the Galapagos penguin which is facing extinction.   They are adorable and deserve our love and protection.

Thanks so much, Louis, for the wonderful and very important idea.
Grr and Woof,
Sarge, Police Commish

  1. That baby loggerhead turtle looks really cute. And I love watching penguins, although smelling them is something else (at the zoo).

  2. Momma says there's a baby turtle in one scene in Moana that is SUPER adorable. I wonder if that's the same one? The crabby girls are hosting a movie star!

  9. Oh Girls and Sarge two great picks. We love all turtles and we have been known to stop to help ones across the road so they don't become roadkill.
    Thanks for being a friend

Louis D. Armstrong had a BRILLIANT idea with this... Blogville helped get the Word out ... about a BUNCH of Animals and Insects that are in Danger of Extinction.

  13. Crikey ..... so many endangered critters. We love your choices. Those loggerhead turtles are super cute and those penguins are adorable. When we go to our beach Mum always picks up any plastic she sees lying around. Plastic kills lots of turtles and sea critters. Peeps must ALWAYS dispose of it safely.

  19. The two deleted comments were silly me. I kept checking in with Mom's author blog and not her dog blog. I either need glasses or opposable thumbs.

Mom just smiled at this. Years ago, a little kid left a stuffed penguin on one of the airliners Mom was piloting. No one ever claimed him so Mom would take him and place him in the cockpit and he'd go with them everywhere. Mom still has him in her old travel suitcase. Abby Lab
