Veterans and a Chewy Challenge

Hey Everyone!
Wow, this is such a super special day here in America!   It's VETERAN'S DAY and we are all remembering and celebrating and thanking our veterans.    I appreciate them all so very much.  My Dad's a US Navy Vet and I gave him an extra slurp and wag this morning.  BOL  We fly the flag all year here at my house!

As you can see, I'm wearing my patriotic collar to honor our veterans.

Now, our good furiends at Chewy.com have given me the coolest opportunity to try out their special product to help support joint health.     I got a month's supply of Nutramax Cosequin DS to see if it makes my hips and knees happy.   This is my first, beginning post about them...in a couple of weeks I'll do another post to see how I'm feeling and then at the end of the supply I'll post about the final results.

They come in these little treat bites and for my size I take two each day to start.
You can see my patriotic bandana too!    BOL

Now, I will admit that the flavor is not my very favorite, but with a little encouragement from my peeps, I will eat them up.

As you can see, they are made in the U.S.A. which is a super thing!   Especially today.
I've been taking them for 3 days now and so far, so good.   I'm usually a fairly active pooch, though I do enjoy a good nap or two during the day.   I always have at least one play session each evening.   My peeps will be paying some attention to see if I do this a little more often or for a little bit longer.   I'm 9 years old now and I don't like to stand up on my back legs too much, so we'll see if they help that feel better too.

Stay tuned for the next two posts in a couple of weeks as I continue to sample these from Chewy.   Thanks bunches to my furiends at Chewy.com for the opportunity to give these a whirl.

NOW, DON'T FORGET TO THANK A VETERAN TODAY
AND CELEBRATE THEIR SERVICE!

Here's a flashback to our Olympics with Beachnut and Shelldon during the parade of athletes.

Here's a flashback to our angel pal Pip during his bucket list tour when I took him on my Dad's Navy vessel the USS Little Rock.

And finally, just little ole me, proudly wearing the red, white and blue.

Thank you, veterans!
Grr and Woof,
Sarge, Beachnut, Shelldon, and Staff

  6. Thank you for your dad's service, Sarge. My granddog was a US Marine and many of Ma's family fought in Korea and World War II. I think your name and your collar are a great tribute every day to all who serve and protect us.

  10. Everyone has done such wonderful posts about Veterans Day and I just posted a couple of pictures. Oh well, at least I acknowledged it! Got my flag flying too!

My boys got our Chewy.com treats today. I didn't realize FedEx delivered on holidays! We aren't doing the same program you are, but I'll be interested to read the results. Chico has luxating patellas, so this might help him too.

  16. What a super duper post Sarge! Love all the red, white and blue AND photos from the past AND present......We were proud to honor veterans yesterday and every day. As for the Chewy joint supplements, I hope they work for you! Mom tried me on kitty cosequin and I HATED the taste so much I refused to eat them. Hopefully your Mom can "talk you into" it because my vet says they DO help!

    Hugs, Sammy
