Hey Everyone!
Wow, this is one of the bestest days of the whole month! It's FFHT time and I'm joining The Doods, co-mayors Murphy and Stanley for some fun and creative writing.
Today's inclusion is "And That's Why My Toes Turned Purple".
Got it....and HERE I GO:::::
There once was a canine named Sarge,
who considered himself always in charge.
He loved to go swimmie,
and like a horse he would whinny,
for the time to ride his canoe like a barge.
One January in the water he decided to play,
to his peeps he yelled loudly like a donkey would bray.
They said it's too cold,
he didn't care and was bold,
and that's why his toes turned purple that day.
Oh, BWAR HAR HAR! Now, that never really happened, but I'd probably be willing to give it a try. Alas, I guarantee that my peeps would never allow it. Anyway, that was a fun one to include and I hope you got a chuckle.
Me going swimmie on a warm day instead...bol
Grr and Woof,

ReplyDeleteLet me tell you Sarge, those of us whose 'carers' (I use the word in the loosest sense) think it a good idea, at the end of a muddy walk, to dunk us in cold mountain stream before letting us back into the car, know ALL ABOUT purple toes business, as described so vividly in your great wee poem.
