Howl O Ween Hooplah

Hey Everyone!
Wow, this is such a super fun day!   Everybody likes HowlOWeen.   Be sure to stop by and see DORY today for all of the party bash highlights.    Here is what things look like here for me and for the Crabby Girls and their Coccolino today.

Well, I must admit my Mom really did a lousy job with my turtle costume!   Pttthtthht to her and her poor crafting skills.  BOL    But, at least I'm good for a laugh AND I fit right in with my shelled crabby girls.   AND their beau Coccolino is a turtle this year too!   His costume is fabulous, though.  Just sayin'.

See!?!   Look how cool Coccolino looks in his turtle costume!    He and the crabby girls are having a ball together.   The always-fashionable girls are pretty butterflies this year.   They look gorgeous of course...just ask them!   BWAR HAR HAR     ahem.

They were all over the foodables table....LITERALLY!   BOL/POL    They climbed right up on so they could get to all of the delish and fun treats.

Beachnut, Oceana and Shelldon were super excited to find the fun fruit foodables!    Lookie at the ghosts made of bananas and the punkins made from oranges.   They are pinching into that fur sure.

Now, I didn't want to miss out of the treats!    The tables are all spook-a-fied.   BOL

YUM!
Forget the TRICKS, we just want the TREATS!

After all of the laughs and fun and visiting furiends and of course EATING, we were all ready to kick up our heels and hit the dance floor!     OMD those crabby girls can surely move those long and lovely leggies.    They always have such fun with Coccolino and he takes great care of them too.    We all had a blast out there.    The music is super too!

Now, we didn't just hit the big party at Dory's, NOPE!    We went Trick-Or-Treating too!

Okay, everyone keep their balance....oops....woaooaaah, okay, hang on till we get up to reach...
Hey, Shelldon, clack your claw on that door and we'll score some treats!

The girls definitely got some tasty treats!    Check out their basket of loot.

And even with my (poorly made by Mom -ahem) costume, I made out like a bandit!

Yup, it was a super HowlOWeen fur sure!

Be sure to visit with DORY today too so you catch all of the action.   Have a fabulous and frightful HowlOWeen, my furiends!

Mystery Trip Revealed...Convention Part 2

Hey Everyone!
Wow, I am so exhausted and so is Mayoress Madi!   We've been working our paws off today and stretching our brains to take in all of the information, guidance, hints and suggestions for improving Community Leadership here at our convention in Hawaii.

If you missed the first part, be sure to click back and see the start of our adventure.

Now that the work is all over, it's time to sightsee and take in the local culture!
Don't forget we're in HAWAII so there's a ton to see and do!

First priority was some foodables.   Holy Moly we're starved!

Mayoress Madi wanted to learn the Hula and the local experts jumped right in to show her the moves.   She's doing a great job already!    GO MADI   GO MADI   GO MADI    SWING THOSE HIPS!
BWAR HAR HAR

She got to be an expert right away.   I didn't want to miss out.   Now, I'm no expert, but I can still shake those hips and swing that skirt!    BOL/MOL

We visited the local cultural stops and posed in front of King Kamehameha's famous statue.

All too soon the trip was over and it was time to return to blogville.   I had a super time and Madi is a fabulous travel buddy.   We learned a ton and hope to put it all to use back home!

Crabby Monday...Announcement

Hello Darlings!

We crabby girls are all agog because a very special event is nearly upon us!   We are so very proud to announce that our dearest Sarge is manning the Poling Site for our upcoming Blogville Mayoral Election.

Goodness, we are so very excited!    We have such spectacular candidates in Dory, and Murphy&Stanley.   The voting will be very close and we are so anxious to see who wins.   Now, to do your patriotic duty, you MUST VOTE!    That's right, darlings, you will need to cast your vote in a comment here to select our next city leadership.

ELECTION DAY IS NOVEMBER 4th and here are the details:

Sarge will have COMMENT MODERATION  turned ON so that the comments will NOT EVER show up for the Voters to ever see... that will prevent any privacy issues.
The VOTING POST  will be put up at 12:00 AM Eastern Standard Time  November 4th... and  Voting will run for a FULL 24 Hours so that all Voters All over the WORLD will have time to Vote.  Once the Voting is CLOSED Sarge will tally all the Votes and send the RESULTS to Mayoress Madi  along with...     a printout Copy of the actual Votes.... so that she can VERIFY the results.    THEN when the votes are Verified...   by Both SARGE and MADI...    (Due to Lori//SARGE... having to WORK... it may take a day or so for the VOTES to be COUNTED.)
MADI   will be the one who     ANNOUNCES the Results On HER BLOG.
NOTE:...  Once Sarge has sent the Results and a Copy of ALL the "Comments" AKA... the VOTES...   He will  then  DELETE that Blog Post...    so that all VOTES will Remain  SECRET forever.   Sarge and Madi are the ONLY ones who will EVER see and know Who Voted For the candidates...   and THEY have PROMISED to NEVER  reveal how anyone voted.

So, darlings, you must stop by RIGHT HERE on November 4th and comment your vote.   As you saw above, it will all be invisible so no one will know how you voted.   That will ensure that no one will have hurt feelings.   We would NEVER allow that in Blogville.   Once the voting is closed, Sarge will count and notify Madi, and printout and mail the entire comment section so that she can verify the count.   Then the election post will be deleted forever thus ensuring a totally secret vote.

Here are some photos of your official POLING LOCATION!   The glorious Blogville Police Station.   It still looks fabulous after the big remodeling of Dec 2012.  Remember that project?

 Be sure to show up here on Nov 4th to comment your VOTE!

Police Commissioner Sarge has been working to be sure everything
is ready for our big Blogville Mayoral Election day.

We hope to see all of you, the wonderful citizens of Blogville on the fourth!
Ciao and Little Pinches,
Beachnut, Oceana, Shelldon

Flashback Friday...HowlOWeen Past

Hey everyone!
Wow, it's Friday again already!   The last couple of weeks I showed you my HowlOWeen costumes from recent years and this week I'm up to last year's holiday.

Here is what HowlOWeen looked like in my territory in 2013....

My date was the lovely Millie and we dressed up as candy corn and a hershey's kiss!   BOL

The crabby girls spent the howliday with their dashing beau Coccolino:::

They hit the dance floor too!

AND:   Oceana wrote a Ghost Story for Madi's event:
Here is her story:

The Seagull
Once inside a crabitat dreary, while I wandered scared and leary

Over many a glamorous empty shell and sandy floor;

All at once there came a banging as if something loudly clanging,

Clanking at my cocohut door
‘Tis the wind and nothing more.’

Open now I threw the shutter and in the bird came with a flutter

As I then began to shudder, wondered at a sight not seen before;

To what would cause this stark intrusion and upon me cause confusion

Worry what this gull’d emplore, why he's here inside my door;

Quoth the Seagull ‘Nevermore’.

Then to me he told his tale, upon the surf he saw arose a tail

And a fin that could only mean a whale;

Teeth to kill with blood and gore, the creature flashed a vile smile

Quoth the Seagull ‘Nevermore’.

It thrashed and caused the sea to foam, and frightened animals all did moan

And scurry and swim and fly ashore, lest they perish and live no more;

By this the gull did scare by telling, all the while my fear is welling

The whale in my mind I see, and from its horror I would flee;

Should it here in my crabitat would be

Quoth the Seagull ‘Nevermore’.

Furthered by the bird’s strange telling, soon it occurred to me a clearing

Of the gull and his real meaning, as all is not quite what it’s seeming;

This odd gull’s whale is not all flesh, but rather is a see-through mesh

Made of fog and mist and spirit, nothing more of this is to it;

A ghost whale is the real subject of this sly lore,

Only this and nothing more.

Thankfully he left no dropping as he flew from my hut topping

Still I feel the fear he caused, and before the surf I always paused;

Looking for the ghost whale form and the fearsome smile that it wore

Quoth the Seagull ‘Nevermore’.

Didn't she write a great story for HowlOWeen?!?    Did you get your pix sent to Dory for her upcoming party?!?

Sarge,  Pol Comm

Crabby Monday...Gourmet Gift

Hello, Darlings.
We crabby girls were all agog recently when Frankie and Ernie's Hands visited us in our crabitat!   They were freshly returned from a fabulous vacation with our Hands and stopped by to see us as they headed home.

Frankie and Ernie were splendid company and we enjoyed their animated stories about their adventures on their holiday.    We were so pleasantly surprised when their Hand gave us a wonderful pressent!

 Teeheehee, we adore SpongeBob and all of his delightful underwater cartoonery!   POL
This is a lovely gift.

We  are so excited and grateful for the gourmet patties candies.

 Goodness, they are shaped just like miniature hamburger patties with lettuce and tiny buns!   Teeheehee they are so very cute and delicious at the same time.

We are clacking our claws with glee and send our thanks to Frankie & Ernie's Hands for the spectacular surprise!

Ciao and Little Pinches,
