Furiends on Friday

Hey Everyone!
Wow, I have the bestest furiends here in Blogville!   All of you are so special to me and my pack.   Well, I was really a lucky pooch this week because I received three pressies.  That's right...three in one week!   Keeps the postal peeps scratching their heads.  BOL



First, I got the delivery from Tweedles' auction!    I bid on a really cute ladybug bracelet for my Mom and won.   The box came and check this out:

It was packaged so prettily by my furiends, the Slimmer Pugs.   They are so sweet.

 And look!!   There's the bracelet that I bought Mom....and the necklace was won by Mamaw and she gave it to my Mom as a giftie.    Isn't that cool!    I can tell you my Mom is thrilled.   She loves them both.    Thanks Mamaw for the pawesome pressie.    Thanks, Slimmers for the help with the auction.



Second, I got a pressie pack from Baggy and Nin over at Hailey's place!   Remember the Comedy Club at New Years Eve and the Joke Off?   Well, I was the lucky winner and my second package was my prize for having the bestest joke.   OMD those kitties are amazing shoppers.   Check out what they gave me:

Wow Wow Wow, it's a bag of dried Duck Feet!!

Oh, delish!   Thanks so much, my kittie furiends for sending me such a wonderful pressie.   I love my giftie and I've eaten several of them already.  BOL 




And third, I got an amazing package from Sweet William the Scot!    Take a look at this:

 That scottie card is so very cute!   

OMD here's the fossil he sent to my Mom.   He sent one to Mamaw too.   They are really excited about all kinds of geology and fossil things and my Mom is so very happy!   This is a trilobite and a really fabulous example of one too.    Mom says THANKS BUNCHES!

And there was also a box of those fun and delish Valentines candy hearts.  They taste great.

And check it out!!   There were four of them in there that must have been made especially for my furiend Sweet William.    Look:   Sweet Stuff, Sweet Talk, Sweet Pea.    Isn't that cool!   Sweets from Sweet William.     Thanks so much to you and Lee for sending the fossil and these fun treats.   You are super furiends!

Wacky Winter Wednesday

Hey Everyone!
Wow, this has been one weird and wacky Winter in  my territory!   OMD it's been freezing cold and really snowy and just plain nasty.    I really love some super snow zoomies, but this is just crazy!   BOL  

We've had Frost Quakes.   This happens when it's so cold that the ground actually fractures and the sound is like a really loud gunshot.   Sometimes you can even find the big cracks in the ground where it's happened.

Then on Monday morning, we woke up to this:

SNOW ROLLS!    

They turned up (get it?!?) here in Pennsylvania and parts of Ohio.   The wind was really strong and just right...and the snow was light and fluffy and just right...and the two together did this.  The perfect kind of wind hit the perfect kind of snow and it started rolling right up.

 This is at the end of my road.   Look at all of them!

See how the snow rolled itself up?   Isn't that cool?    You can even see through lots of them.   Some of the yards and fields here have hundreds of them. 

They are about the neatest things I've ever seen snow do by itself!   BOL  
They range from about the size of a peep's fist clear up to about the size of a 55 gallon drum.    Most of them seem to be about the size of a basketball.

This phenomenon has been all over our news.  We even saw a video clip on CNN.com yesterday.   Oh, it's really unique and incredible.   My peeps have never seen anything like it...ever!

Goodness, it's a whole shrimp cocktail!   Lucky me, Beachnut and Oceana haven't spotted it yet.   I'll just pinch a few morsels and dine on this delicacy all by myself.  Teeheehee

 Mmmmmm, this is delicious!   We crabby girls all love seafood and I assure you this is wonderful.   I'll be working on slowly dragging it back under the brush so I can enjoy this in peace.   POL

PS from The Hands:    We try to give the girls plenty of healthy and natural food including lots of fresh tropical fruit and seafood.    During this cold season, the girls are not very active.  They tend to stay buried in their sand near their heaters for most of the Winter.   Shelldon happened to have been out and about over the past couple of days and she was the lucky winner of this whole shrimp.   And yes, she did drag it back into the leaves and hide with it.   When we took it out the next day, she had really worked it over!   Her little pinchers must have been really busy under there.   POL

Oh, we have a beautiful, large bromiliad! 

 I, Shelldon, am partial to the smaller one! 

These beautify our crabitat and are really fun to climb on too!  Teeheehee.  We like to pinch them and crawl around on them.   Most of you know these as Air Plants.   They don't need dirt. 

We will be asking Sarge to flower us up for the big dance, and we hope to see all of you, our darling friends at the event!

Foodables Friday

Hey Everyone!
Wow, I get the coolest stuff from Chewy.com!    Do you guys all know Andrew at Chewy.com?!?   Well, if you don't, you should.   He's one pawesome peep, just like everyone at Chewy.

This month, I got to sample...

Any box from Chewy is bound to contain some fabulous stuff and I can't wait.

Okay, so Greenies are pawesome snackers.   They are great for our teeth which helps keep us away from the dogtor and his nasty instruments.  BOL    Greenies help with tartar, plaque and fresh breath.   That's important stuff.   AND, they are totally tasty.   Normally, I'm a meat kinda guy, but these have veggies in them and I still find them delish.     AND, they are made right here in the USA, in Kansas City, MO to be exact.  BOL

So, I wasn't paid for this review, but I did get the package of Greenies to taste and keep.   I can tell you that I give them 4 paws up, and my peeps give them a thumbs up for helping my teeth.   We also really appreciate the nice folks at Chewy and their amazing service...deliveries right to your door!
