My HowlOWeen Date with Millie

Hey everyone!

First, don't forget to click back to my earlier posts:  Pumpkin Decorators, Punkin Chuckin and the Crabby Girls' Date!

Wow, I am so honored to have the lovely Millie as my date for the HowlOWeen extravaganza!  I wanted to spend a lot of time with her today, so we started our adventure waaay before the big Costume Ball.

BE SURE TO LINK ON OVER TO MILLIE'S HOUSE TO SEE THE START OF OUR DATE DAY TOGETHER!!!

Millie's outfit for today was hand-made by her talented Mom and is inspired by the perfect HowlOWeen treat, candy corn.   I wanted to coordinate with her, so I selected a bandana to match!

To start our date off, I decided to follow the spooky holiday theme and take Millie to an authentic Romanian Restaurant for lunch!    This will give us the feel of being in Dracula's Transylvania.

Here we are at the restaurant!    Isn't she gorgeous in her dress?!?

 What a cool atmosphere!

I ordered for us.    We are starting our meal out with traditional Romanian gulas.
It's a stew of meat, noodles, veggies, paprika and other spices.    YUM!

Then, we were served mititei and mamaliga.
Mititei is Romanian sausage -grilled, ground meat rolls of beef, lamb, pork and spices served with mild mustard.  Mamaliga is a traditional porridge made from millet flour.   It was all delicious!

For dessert, we shared gogosi and baklava.
OMD the flavors of Transylvania are marvelous!

After such a filling and tasty lunch, we were ready to stretch our legs a little!   To keep the HowlOWeen feel going, I took my dream girl Millie on a tour of a castle!    What a cool way to spend some extra time together by strolling the grounds and rooms of a real medieval castle.

This is such a grand place!   It definitely feels like part of a spooky story.

We expected to see bats or maybe even some ghosts!

We explored all of the fascinating rooms and admired the architecture.

I decided to show off a little for her....trying to look royal in the big throne!  BOL

The grounds and gardens were beautiful!    Such a fun place for an adventure.

Once we had finished touring the castle, it was time to get ready for the Costume Ball!   I changed into my costume and we hit the big Dance event.

We made a pair of sweet treats fur sure!
Millie the candy corn sweetie and me the hershey kiss treat.
Her dress is so amazing!

The music was rockin and we had a great time dancing the night away!
OMD Millie is a spectacular dancer.   Whew!

The lighting and decorations are perfect!
What a fabulous Ball and we really enjoyed getting to see so many furiends.

We danced until our legs and paws were sore...then danced even more!   BOL

During a slow song, we cuddled up for a nice, close, sway-to-the music time.
Gosh, she's so very sweet!

Eventually, the Ball began to wind down and it was an end to the evening.

We posed together for a memorabilia photo and we shared a sweet smooch.

Oh, Millie, I had such a wonderful time with you today and I hope you enjoyed yourself as much as I did on our date!   It was a fabulous day and I think you're a lovely lady.    Thanks for sharing the adventure with me.

Grr and an Eerie Woof,
Sarge, Trick-or-Treater

  2. Oh Sarge! You really know how to show a girl a good time. All that food was so delicious. I have never had some of those things before but boy were they good. That castle sure was fun to explore. You looked great sitting on the throne. Twirling around the dance floor with you was the perfect end to a perfect day. I hope my dad doesn't see that slow dance picture or kiss. I'm not sure he would approve, but I sure do. Thanks again for a great time. Maybe we can do this again sometime?
