So...here's my first episode:
What a pretty Cardinal! Hey, that's Ohio's State Birdie.
Speaking of Cardinals, check out this one!
He got all fascinated by Papaw Pantsleg's truck windows. Silly.
Mama Rose-Breasted Grossbeak feeds her baby.
And this is the stunning Papa Grossbeak!
Male Goldfinch perched on my window frame.
Here are his buddies on my feeder.
Pretty birdies at the Erie Zoo.
He's a Rufous-Sided Towhee.
Rufous means "brownish red".
You can just barely see it on his side.
Hey, here's a beautiful Baltimore Oriole eating on an orange!
And this is just about the fanciest songbird we have here.
It is an Indigo Bunting. Talk about electric blue!
Well, there you have it! The first of my Birdie posts and a look at the pretty and sweet-singing birdies from around my territory. I hope you had fun and enjoyed the sound effects too! BOL

Wow, love all the pretty birds! Mother nature gives us such fabulous creatures...I give you permission to use my Cedar Waxwings in the bird event. I just love that yellow stripe on their tail feathers! Fun!

Hi Sarge - pawsome post - but didn't get any sound effects. You have some beautiful birds that come visit - mum always has loved finches but we both liked the electric blue ones! I'm off to post day 2 real soon. It has taken, like, 87 hours to go through mum's DVDs of her trip pics!!
